This Privacy Policy explains how Game Scouter and Game Scouter Studio (“we”, “the app”) handle information when you use our services to research indie games and create or publish short-form social videos.

2. What Game Scouter Studio is
Game Scouter Studio helps you:
- Research public game information (e.g. Steam and other sources).
- Analyze trailer or gameplay videos.
- Generate scripts, voice, subtitles, and a vertical video.
- Optionally publish that video to YouTube, TikTok, and/or Instagram via OAuth, when you authorize it.
3. Data we may process
Depending on how you use the app, we may process:
- Social account data: identifiers, display name or handle, and access/refresh tokens when you connect YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.
- Content you generate: projects, scripts, publish metadata (title, description, hashtags), and audio/video files.
- Technical data: configuration and API keys that you control in your own environment.
- Third-party public data you query: public game information from APIs or public sites.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your Google/YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram account information for third-party advertising.
4. Purposes
- Operate Game Scouter Studio and generate the content you request.
- Authenticate you with Google/YouTube (and other platforms) and upload videos only when you explicitly ask us to.
- Improve and debug the technical operation of the service.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Legal basis
We process data based on your consent (e.g. when you connect an OAuth account) and, where applicable, performance of a service you request.
6. Third-party services
We may use providers required for the features you enable:
- Google (Gemini, YouTube Data API / OAuth)
- ElevenLabs (voice and subtitles)
- TikTok for Developers / Content Posting API
- Meta / Instagram Graph API
- Steam and other public game-information sources
Each provider applies its own policy. Access to your YouTube channel is limited to the OAuth permissions you accept.
7. Retention
- Project data and OAuth tokens are kept while you use the service or until you delete them / disconnect the account.
- You can revoke access in your Google (or other platform) security settings at any time.
8. Recipients and transfers
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing. Data is only sent to providers needed for the features you enable (e.g. uploading a video to YouTube) or when required by law.
9. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect tokens and keys. No system is 100 % secure; protect your credentials and do not share secrets.
10. Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If a child has provided us data, contact us to have it removed.
11. Your rights
Under applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing. Email gamecouterproject@gmail.com.
12. Google / YouTube data use
Game Scouter’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We only use Google/YouTube data to provide or improve user-facing video-publishing features of Game Scouter.
- We do not sell that data.
- We do not use it to serve ads, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to operate the feature you requested or as required by law.
- We do not allow humans to read that data unless you give clear consent, it is needed for security/compliance, or the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
